Privacy Policy

Definitions:

• User: Any person visiting an ICA website, including but not limited to students, graduates, staff, faculty, visitors.
• Cookies: A cookie is a small amount of information stored on your computer by the ICA website server. It is information that users' web browser sends back to the ICA website server whenever you visit it again. Cookies are used to 'remember' users browser between page visits.
• Personal Information: The Privacy Act (Commonwealth of Australia) 1988 defines Personal Information to be "information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion."
• ICA Website: The public face of ICA located at http//www.icoachacademy.com
• ICA Learnsite: The ICA online learning environment located at http//learn.icoachacademy.com
• ICA Forum: The ICA student forum located at http//learn.icoachacademy.com/forum

Purpose:
To communicate to our students, graduates, staff, faculty, visitors ICA's undertaking to protect privacy and safeguard personal data.

Policy:
International Coach Academy collects and maintains personal data on all students, staff, volunteers and customers as relevant to their relationship with ICA. This information is maintained within an ICA managed Data Base, treated with the highest confidentiality and not distributed beyond International Coach Academy without the consent of the student, volunteer or Staff member.

(1.) Personal Information collected when students, staff or visitors use the ICA website, Learnsite or Forum
While users visit any of our various sites we may collect different kinds of Personal Information from them in a variety of ways:

• Clickstream Data
  When users visit any of our various sites our server makes a record of that visit and logs the following Personal Information:-
  - User's server address;
  - User's top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .net, .edu, etc);
  - The time and date of the visit to the website;
  - The referring website;
  - The pages and documents accessed or viewed; and
  - The type of browser used
• Emails and Electronic Forms
  The Personal Information collected by ICA when users send us an email, or if users complete and submit one of the electronic forms on our website, will include their email address and may also include some of their Personal Information. In all cases and at all times, this Personal Information will only be used for the stated purpose for which it was provided.
  ICA records users' email address and Personal Information in the following instances
  - When users subscribe to and receive the ICA newsletter,
  - When users send feedback via ICA's contact email or electronic forms;
  - When users register for an ICA event or special promotion using an online form;
  - When users respond to an email from an ICA staff member; or
  - When users enrol in an ICA course or program

This Personal Information will not be disclosed to a third party, other than our development team for the purposes of testing, validating or upgrading ICA services, without users' express consent.

• Our use of cookies
  ICA employs cookies in order to hold session information for users. In this situation, the cookie identifies users' browser, not you personally. No Personal Information is stored within the ICA cookies.

(2.) Purpose and use of Personal Information we collect from users
The Personal Information we collect from users is collected for the following purposes:

• To further define and understand our demographic for marketing purposes;
• Website and system administration, including monitoring to prevent security breaches;
• Enhancement to the website to the user's needs; and
• Communication, statistics, research and development

No attempt will be made to identify individual users or their browsing activities other than as disclosed in this privacy statement or as required by law. The Personal Information collected by ICA will not be disclosed to a third party except where authorised by users or required by law.

(3.) Publishing Personal Information
We will only publish Personal Information on our website if it has been collected for this purpose with users' knowledge, or if users have otherwise consented to the disclosure.

When giving such consent users should be aware that Personal Information published on this website is accessible to millions of users from all over the world, that it will be indexed by search engines and that it may be copied and used by any web user. This means that, once the Personal Information is published on this website, ICA will have no control over its subsequent use and disclosure. For example, participation in the "Find a Coach" section of our website or in the ICA Forum may involve submitting email addresses and Personal Information into the public domain.

(4.) Access to the Personal Information we collect
If users wish to know what, if any, Personal Information ICA holds about them, or wish to correct any Personal Information ICA may hold about them, they may access and correct such Personal Information at any time by contacting the Administration Manager.

(5.) Security of Personal Information
All Personal Information collected by the ICA is protected by the Privacy Act (Commonwealth of Australia) 1988 and any subsequent Federal legislation. Personal Information will be held in strictest confidence. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Information we hold in our servers is not subject to loss, misuse or unauthorised access or alteration.
Access to ICA data base records is limited to personnel with a legitimate interest in such information as part of their duties with International Coach Academy.  For example, Student details will be available to ICA Trainers.
